I've felt old on 2 occasions now in the last couple of days, enough to get me out of bed to blog about it. As I've come to realize...if I don't blog about it now, I'll probably forget what I was going to blog about (yep another thing that makes me feel old)
1st... In the drive-thru getting dinner after t-ball yesterday...Our total was 19.91, pulled up to the window and the guy said, "hey, good year" My first thought was, "did you graduate that year" but then I looked up and did some quick math and realized, "nope, it was probably the year you were born, which would make you 17!"
2nd... I got a random picture sent to my phone from Emily this evening. I could not for the life of me figure out why she was sending me a picture of a shirt. Tonight while looking at it a second time I see the little red down arrow, ah...look there is text attached it says..."The fugly doesn't come accross in the picture, but didn't you have something like this in 1992? New product at Maurices..." I relpied to her and instantly got a response. Now there are many things in this snippet that make me feel old. a)I didn't figure out how to read the message until hours later b) I actually thought the shirt was cute c)it took me 10 minutes to punch in my reply...I tried the quick word method but instead of minutes I could only get it to come up with "ohio"...and if you're reading this and have no idea what I'm talking about then...I give you permission to feel even older than I do!
I know I've had a severe case of neglect-o-blog lately. I promise I take better care of my children than I do my blog. Stay tuned, updates coming in the next month. Hey, aim low and you won't dissapoint.

Sunday Ritual
Every Sunday morning we read the paper, Charlie sits on the recliner reading the sports and news, I sit at the table and dive into the ads - scissors at hand for the coupons, CJ sits on the couch scouring any ad he can possibly find that has toys featured (and usually comes up with quite the list of things he must absolutely have). This past Sunday Nick joined in...he loved being part of the morning ritual, until of course mean Mom took away the paper for too much paper chewing...but first he sat their for a good 15-20 mintues crinkling, "reading", and trying to eat his portion of the paper.

Storm Damage
These pictures were taken during and after our storm yesterday afternoon. Around 1:00 I was making lunch and things started to look pretty ominous outside. Of course the sirens went off right away, apparently Dakota county is the only county in the metro area that sounds the sirens for severe thunderstorm warning. Why? Because what I really want to know is if there is a tornado coming or not, but nope can't rely on the sirens. I have to go between the TV and the internet to check things out, if there were a tornado in the midst of the severe thunderstorm warning one wouldn't know. Dumb. There was a tornado about 8 miles east of Farmington and I can't help but think we were in the makings of that tornado.
Kids in the downstairs bathroom waiting out the storm...
CJ staying entertained on his Spiderman bouncing ball...
Keep in mind, before the storm hit, the patio set was set up like any normal patio set. At first the wind tipped the umbrella over but didn't break the table. But then, the wind proceeded to bounce the entire set around the deck like a ping pong ball. One chair even flew over the edge and was lying in the lawn.
At first when I looked outside I thought all the white was hail, but then I realized unfortunately it was glass from the shattered table.
The force of the stuff hitting the deck rail was enough to make the joint come apart...
Thankfully everything else was fine, sure gave me a good scare though. That was some nasty wind.

I've come to a realization...
After trying to "tweak" my blog, I've come to the realization that... I would totally SUCK at digital scrapbooking. I can't even make a header...uff-da...time for bed.
But I did add music!
But I did add music!

4th of July
Nothing too spectacular for our 4th of July. I was supposed to work, but caved in when they called to ask if I wanted to stay home. CJ had fun playing with his new golf clubs Charlie bought him.

We watched the fireworks from Rich and Sara's deck...the neighborhood to the east of us must spend gazillions on Wisconsin fireworks (ie. the good kind)...of course my picture taking skills were at their highest and I got none.
Here is a picture of CJ getting ready to watch fireworks, he wasn't too sure about all the noise so he got his headphones out of the van.

Adventures in Babysitting
Last Tuesday I had the pleasure to watch Miss. Adeline while her mom Tiffany went to a meeting at work. CJ was at Preschool Adventure Days at the gym so it was just the three of us. For the 3 hours that she was here, her and Nicholas were only awake at the same time for about a 1/2 hour. It was funny, Nicholas would sleep and she would be awake, Nicholas would wake up and Adeline would fall asleep. I'm sure life with twins is just that easy - not!

Happy kids! How can you not resist those cheeks!
Talk to the hand buddy...
Man does she ever stop talking, I'm starting to fall asleep, blah...blah...blah...blah...

Listen up buddy, I'm not done with my story....
Ha, ha, ha, ha...that was actually pretty funny, I'm glad I stayed awake for the end...
Ka-Pow, I'll sock you in your ear...
Let's just be friends...
